need help with my new droid.

Hi my name is natalie and i just bought a new droid last night. I have the droid 2. I just have one question - I downloaded about 10 apps and it said that they were all downloaded successfully, but none of them showed up in my app tray..

yes, it said installed successfully and there were no problems with downloading them, except for the fact that they didnt show up on my app tray!

Not a single one? That's odd. Go to your Market/settings/downloads and see if you can see them in there.

Some apps don't show in the App Tray - can you list them for us ?

Also if you search those same apps again in the Market or go to "downloads" in the Market it should say "installed" for the applications in question.

You can also go to settings/applications/manage applications on your device and see your installed applications

This may sound crazy but, try a reboot and see if that helps.

and this also may sound crazy - but how do i reboot? and what is that?
i really am a newbie - i have no idea what im doing! so thanks for the help :)

Reboot just means to power off/on

What applications are they ?

As I said some apps do not have an icon associated with it in the app drawer

They should all be there. Weird...

facebook for android, AK notepad, handcent sms, ringtones, backgrounds, pandora radio, papijump, solitare. All of these applications work fine if i open them from the market. and i will try the reboot.

now just one more problem - I like to use the handcent application for messaging, but is there any way i can turn off the notifications from the original messaging? so i dont get two notifications every time i get a text?
