    i used bootstrap to back up my droidx after rooting with z4. I installed liberty1.5 got it working well. just didnt like the new version of yahoo messanger that downloaded and dont like the contacts section as i lost all my speed dials. I also optimized speed with Quick clock overclock. Was pretty stable and i liked the speed . I didnt like the new yahoo messanger and my loss of speed dials and another feature of the original contacts section layout . Id like to try a few other roms. I used bootstrap to recover from before installing liberty. has old yahoo version and contacts with speed dial. I ran overclock again and optimized speed. Im clocking faster but is a little slower without the liberty rom. All that to say this. Is there a way to back up yahoo messanger as it is now and the phone contacts section and layout so I can install it back in a new rom? This is my first attempt at this. I did a lot of reading here to get this to work..Thanks to all the contibutions here! Its helped me a lot. I still have so much more to learn. TIA Harleyman285

    +1 sho nuff! If you've got a few bucks to spare, the "Pro" app is totally worth it.

    if ($nightly="yes") echo "w00t!";

    +1 for Titanium. Check MyBackUp Pro as well. Both are solid and worth the few dollars. I have and use both.

    You restored "App+Data"? I know it can be done with Root Explorer (which I think EVERY rooted phone should have).

    you need to grab the bootstrap app to flash clockwork recovery for the Droid2/X/2G phones. you can get it from the market ($2) or for free on koush's website: My Brain Hurts: Droid X Recovery (and Droid 2 too!)
