Need Help Plz......!!!!!

hi ppl i have D2G

system version: 2.4.330.a956.verizon.en.US

Android version: 2.2

and i have Superuser, Ive been trying to update my droid and it just wont update when ever i try it wont allow me to update, i completely download

the file and then it takes me to the installation part after that request to reboot when the device reboot clockworkmod Shows and thin it said

software update failed

i really dont know what to do ... im not technical . can i get instructions Or clear steps plz

It's because your phone is rooted. CWM blocks OTA updates from installing as usually they kill root.

i brushed the dust off my d2g and was trying to update as well and failed, can i just remove root or do i have to remove cwm as well?

just flash sbf with rsd lite
links in my list under d2g
sd_shadow's list of links for Droid FAQs, SBF, Rooting, ROMs....

system needs to be complete stock, if you removed or changed any stock files update install will fail
safer just to use sbf and rsd lite
