Need help new with droid

Hi I just bought a Samsung fascinate last week this is my first Droid. Today I record a video and try to send it mms and email and told me it was too large send. The video is only 43sec long.there's anyway to compress it?

you would have to put it on your computer by moving from your phone by USB connection and email it
