Installed "Liquid Battery Indicator" Metamorph on 2.2 Rooted phone. Phone now Boot Loops and will not allow Booting into Recovery...Just sticks at the M through numerous Auto attempts to Boot to Recovery.. Tried taking out SD card and then booting to Recovery, no success.

I'm a little confused.

Are your using Rom Manager for the "Auto" attempts?
Why are you removing your SD card?
Once you remove the SD card what process are you using to boot into recovery?

SPR
Removed SD just incase it was an issue with data on there which it was apparently not.
With or W/out SD, I am trying Power+X.

Have made it as far as getting it into BootLoader, via Power+X+D-pad^.
now have RSD Lite running but it will not recognize my phone as a model....

By Auto-Attempts, I mean... when you hold Power+X long enough, it starts trying to boot to recovery all over again (that is, when it can not get into Rec). Have let it go through three of those five times now...

Thanks for the clarification.

If you are not able to get into SPR with the "X" and power your thought about RSD is the next step. Here is a link http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-faqs/39254-sbf-root-unroot.html that may help.

I've read threads that users indicate it takes several attempts to connect. Others have success with different version of Windows.

I'm not sure what else to suggest, sorry.

I'm trying to contact some of the rescue squad to see if they have other suggestions/recommendations.

What version of Windows are you running?

I use a Mac so I have limited experience with RSD. I believe that one of the versions of Windows requires you to have admin privileges. Unfortunately, I do not recall the version.

In rsdlite.....make sure you got version 4.6 and all current drivers.
Then try going to config: deviceID: change it to first-come-first-serve(something like that) not at my pc to check. See if it recognizes it after that.

What is it with rsd-lite some people have so many problems with it and some don't.

When I had to use it I think the process took about five minutes. I couldn't believe how well it worked. But then you get these horror stories from some.

Hope you got that fixed! If not I'll re flash just so we can compare and make sure your not missing a setting or something.

: well mw is probably still researching/contacting people to try and help
: have you ever used ADB
: A bit, but would ADB do anything if pjhone is unrecognizable?
: but you have ADB set up and youve used it on your current computer
: yeah
: ok plug it in to your computer with the cord and power it on
: tell me when its pluged in and running
: Boot loader screen and plugged in
: ok open cmd
: tell me when everything is ready, like your about to use ADB
: done
: ok type
: adb reboot recovery
: see if that boots you into recovery
: error, device not found
: try it a few times.. it may take awhile
: try it like your regularly booting the phone
: get out of bootloader
: sec here....
: that is trying to work, it's sitting at M
: just keep trying to get into recovery like that
: keep typing adb reboot recovery
: anything
: Sticks at M
: try it without SD Card its worth a shot..
: k, moment
: Still sticks at the M till it resets its self...
: ok start RSD Lite
: unplug your phone and power off
: leave it off
: k
: RSDL started, phone unplugged and off

: umm, idk where did you get that?
: Droid 2.0.1 SBF - How to go back to 2.0.1 from 2.1
: yeah it's the 2.0.1
: use that one
: i know it works, cause ive used it personally

The active resource for this window has changed to "E6278467".
: 64 bit?
: 32
: ok
: try why following that guide
: Yeah they are the same file, just from different threads
: if you still cant get it let me know
: i always run RSD first
: ok so youve got teh SBF and your running rsd
: are you running as an admin?
: yeah
: ok
: now select the sbf
: and it should tell you to plug in
: after you select it and try to flash
: sec, I have to do this backwards, boot phone before connecting or it just tries to reboot

: no dont even boot or connect yet
: pretend like your phone is already connected
: ok
: and continue on with RSD Lite
: make sense?
: aye, sbf loaded on SDL
