Navigation problems

I have my original droid from Nov 2009 and all of a sudden am having serious navigation issues. It just will not connect, keeps trying to connect but it never does. The only way I can get it to work is by taking the battery out for a time and putting it back and then powering back on, and then it will work again. But after that navigation is over and I try to do another, same thing?

Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

No help but same problem

Started several weeks ago. Perpetual search for GPS. Reboot; finds it once and then same problem.
