Well, open the smoked glass folder on your computer, and there should be another smoked glass folder, and when you open that one, there should be some folders (data, system, boot, nandroid.md5)

so it would look like this: smokedglass/smokedglass/data, system, etc.

what you wanna do is copy the SECOND smoked glass folder (right click and copy) and then go back and DELETE the FIRST smoked glass folder. So now EVERYTHING is deleted. Now, paste the folder you copied into your nandroid folder

    hmm, looks funny. So....
I go to my pc's desktop. I create a folder. Within that folder a create a folder called test. Now I have desktop/new_folder/test. I copy test and delete new_folder. Test is gone, deleted, can't be pasted.

Ummm no, when you copied "Test" it is saved to an imaginary clipboard you can say. After you copied it and then deleted the entire folder, you still have the Test directory saved.....

Just like how you can delete something from your desktop and still have it saved in My Computer....its not deleted "forever"

I have done this many many many many times on my laptop

Windows Vista is not letting me do this. I suspected this would not work, hence the "looks funny". I tried copying the subfolder with ctrl-c, with a rright-click copy, etc. Once the parent folder is gone I can't paste and the subfolder is gone. A restore from the trashcan gets it back though.

I just tried again, going deeper into subfolders and deleting the bottom 2. Still can't get it back. What OS do you have and did you test this again too?

edit: XP laptop alsop does not let me do this either. Tried "file edit view's" Edit-copy/Edit-paste and still no go.
