My Verizon Mobile, Data Usage

I just bought my Droid X phone yesterday. There is an app called My Verizon Mobile with a shortcut on my home screen. This morning it says Data Usage, Not Connected after downloading the newest update. I was connected last night just fine displaying how much data I had left. Does anyone know why it wouldn't be connected? Also, could I change that shortcut to just display phone minutes? Thanks!

Data Widget

Correction: It looks like this particular app is the Data Widget, found under Android widgets, but it still says not connected. Any thoughts why?
