Smidgen is spelled incorrectly.
Wth is wrong with ur 3G? I get 1500-2000 u get 1x speeds lol.
Something is up with your 3G speeds, try a different server.
why are you saying the charge only has 300mb of ram when every other site says 512?
^^ ditto with the above post
ditto^_*...They said what I want to say.
all the reviews I have seen on this device have mentioned 3g issues. I don't think it is his issue per se.
check this one out.
Here are some quotes from that thread that pertain to what I am talking about....
The Charge has 512MB of RAM, but once you boot up the OS takes a good chunk to run so he is likely looking at available RAM after boot up. This why many people complained about phones that came out a year ago with 512MB being a bit sluggish at times and why we are seeing phones with 768MB RAM as standard.
It seems Samsung/Verizon want us to focus on the display and not the other specs which are starting to looking like a reheated Fascinate with 4G and updated screen.
One good question is what types of memory intensive apps has the reviewer tried, it good to have a baseline of what will and won't run smoothly. Still there are other 4G phones coming and the DX2 with Tegra2 Dual Core, 768-1GB of RAM and qHD display.
I have a 4G modem already for personal use and travel so perhaps the DX2 and my modem is good. Need to see more reviews and where the devs go to insure support.
That's what's left over and showing as available.

So, the screen--Super AMOLED, but what's the glass over it? Is it Gorilla Glass, or something similarly tough? I've got an OG Droid that has a few scratches, but overall still looks great despite the less-than-easy duty I put it through (lives in pocket with car keys, knife, whatever else might turn up).
Apparently the Galaxy S phones used Gorilla Glass with Super AMOLED, but haven't been able to find anything yet about the Charge.
Thanks, and thanks for the thorough review.
[EDIT] -- after honing my obviously remedial Google skilz, it apparently does use Gorilla Glass.
3g signal sucks in my area - connecting to a different server wouldn't matter, trust me.
Thats what ended up happening, yes. I originally couldn't find the spec anywhere and just looked at quadrant. I'll correct it in the review.
You're welcome - yep, it's Gorilla Glass.
