My own pictures as wallpaper suck!

If I take a great picture with my phone, then set it as the wallpaper it is terrible. Distorted and everything. I have launcherpro and that doesn't help either.
Any suggestions?

Try MultiPictute Live Wallpaper. It keeps them sized for one screen....
