Idk if it's that, or just the angle at which you hold the phone. When I tilted it so the bottom (right) speaker was slightly closer to my head, it sounded louder & vice versa. It was weird.

Well, I cleared cached data through the settings->storage & USB. I can't tell if that evened it out, they sound even, but I read on XDA someone did this after talking to a tech at Google. They claimed it evened them out. There's a lot of people over there saying the same thing.

Another weird thing I just noticed, the distance the speakers are from your face play a role in how balanced they sound. Holding the phone closer makes the top speaker sounds louder, while holding it at a more relaxed, normal distance , they seem equal. So I'm wondering if it's just the angle of the speakers then.

Are you ignoring me on purpose? I've tossed this theory out there. :p

Get it to the point where the top one sounds louder, then kinda pan the phone left to right and back a few times. Like, hold it in one hand, with your wrist straight and arm vertical, and rotate your wrist. See if you notice the right side become stronger as that angle changes.

I'm not sure how else to describe it, but that's what I noticed when playing Trials Frontier last night. And I wasn't wearing my glasses or contacts at the time, so the phone was definitely closer to my face.

.....maybe.... I'm not sure if you're describing the same thing or not. I know you're saying twist the phone, but I noticed it a lot when keeping the phone the same angle but just distancing it from your face.

We're probably talking about the same thing.

I think we are, just different ways to notice it. I think one of our ways might be confirmation of the other way. Haha! We add credibility to each other. ;)

It's not a deal breaker by any means, just interesting. I suppose if it was angled so the sound met in the middle too much, you'd lose the stereo effect.

I'm not going to test it. I like the sound.

Found a manufacturing defect. Minor but it's still a defect. The screen is not centered in the frame. It's off to the left by 1 mm.

Not exactly a deal breaker and at first I thought it was a bad wallpaper crop, so tonight I got out the calipers and a magnifying glass. and sure enough.
