just thought Id share my incarnation nothing major just a lil bit of photoshop and some patience to modify each frame. I need a usb mouse asap because a touchpad/trackpoint nipple is a P.I.T.A lol

Edits- adding more as I go please rename the files bootanimation.zip
place in your Android\Tools directory on your pc
from command prompt on pc: adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
12/26/09 added by request a looping droid animation
I will do simple requests please be patient I have never used Photoshop so I have to research and trial and error and there are alot of png's to edit

    It's a bluish, blackish, just.........pure awesomeness. I didn't need pics. It's a freain work of art!

I'd stil like to see one, JUST LIKE THIS, that just draws the droid over and over and over... maybe you could do a special request if you get bored? ;) haha. The eye is cool, but...I love how the DROID gets drawn out. I dunknow, maybe it would look dumb...hard to say

you do not need root to backup your original do this command assuming you got android sdk installed with adb
command prompt navigate to your android directory in mine and most others we use
    c:\android\tools
then connect your droid via usb and enable developers settting from your phone
then from command prompt adb pull /data/local/bootanimation.zip bootanimationbak
this will copy your original to your pc
then put my or anyones bootanimation.zip into your android\tools folder and type
    adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
done reboot your phone you cant brick your phone this way worse case is animation wont play so give it a shot
