I guess I'm gonna have to give this one a shot. I tried the new ultimate droid extreme, but it has some bugs. Runs damn hot too. I've heard really good things about this rom though

Oh no attention. 50-100 pages of folks who did not read the op instructions. Seriously, comes with the territory. I always seem to find my way back to to the usual complete "workedness" of his roms.

As I have posted before, this 2.2 deal is really gonna be quite challenging for all of the dev's to set themselves apart, so to speak. In the early days it was "easy" for them to find cool apps (or recode) to make distinctions that could really customize their roms. As the base applications are coming more solidified from Google, there seems to be less of a need to pull this from a Milestone or that from a Nexus to make for a really solid platform. The speed question seemed to really be no. 1 on everyones quest for the ultimate experience. Now that the base 2.2 is in and of itself pretty speedy, one less development area to to make major headway.

It is cool to see how Chevy and Pete and the others are tackling and fine tuning things like apps2sd, native backups and the like. I think that in the future we are all going to have to dig a bit more to find things that differeniate our experiences with the various roms, but I think that is a good thing. Some of the reasons a lot of folks like Chevy's work, imho, is that they are generally very solid, he also does kernel support, and is very accessible to tackle issues. Perhaps related to my first thoughts is that now that the final product is maturing very quickly, there may be more of a market for the customer service side of things. A very natural market progression.

Do you have any download stats on your ROMs Chevy? Just curious if this story gave you some more downloads or not.

It's sad that most of the people jacked your thread to promote Kangerade...

I'm sure it's a cool rom but kind of lame if you ask me...

maybe I'm single minded, but I'm stuck on Simply Stunning... it's too good!
