Wow, I was looking into intergrating my droid 3 into my car and found your post. Im working on a modification where the primary screen in the car actually controls the phone which creates a cleaner setup. Considering that your setup is almost like mine, I think you might be interested in the module as well.

I did this with my pioneer 3500bhs and it turned out great.. posted a video on YouTube on the setup.. mirror mode for my razr hd through a hdmi converter to rca.. pretty awesome having Google maps on my stereo and all my other android apps..
