I've had my maxx for a week. I came from a D1. On my D1 i used the music app that came on the phone and everything sounded good. With my maxx, the "EQ" sucks. Too much bass, not enough mids, and I can hardly hear the vocals. What music app do i need? Am i doing something wrong?

Also if you want to listen to Pandora or stream music from your Google Music account, Equalizer is a great global equalizer. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.smartandroidapps.equalizer&hl=en

I have the built in android EQ in settings turned off and use the Equalizer app with the Rock preset and 50% bass boost. Makes Pandora and Google Music sound amazing with my klipsch S4 headphones. However, if you're listening to your own music files directly from your phone, Poweramp's equalizer has superior quality. I turn the equalizer app off when listening to my own stuff in poweramp since poweramp's EQ gives noticeably better quality.
