    Hi,
This is my first post. I'm thinking about getting the Eris and I'm considering getting an ipod. Do I need both or can the Eris be my
phone and mp3 player? If I can use the Eris as my mp3 player how will the battery stand up to music play?

    Thanks,
    Maureen

Depending on your usage of music, and whatever else you use the battery may not be enough for you. If you are in need of a phone I would advise getting the Eris and testing it out as a music player, and if it doesn't suit your needs get an ipod..Pandora gives me all I need for a quick gym workout (1hr at the most) with juice to spare
