Music for ringtones disappearing....

I tried getting some new ringtones from my computer to install onto my phone and it seems like the ringtones only worked when I installed them from the folder on my pc to my phone.
I noticed when I set the ringtones to my contacts they were there, but when I recharged my phone the ringtones went back to the default . I tried the process over again and
it seems like the music is just not staying with the contacts or on the phone. If anybody has any suggestions on how to keep music on there phone for ringtones please let me know.

I have the same problem. Don't know how to fix it. Lmk if you find an answer...

I went into the market and got ringdroid and seems if you edit your music for at least 30 seconds it actually
realizes it a ringtone and stays on your phone. This is working for me I edited about 20 songs and put them to my contacts
rebooted the phone and the ringtones were still there. I hope this helps working fine on my Dinc.
