Moving files to PC after encryption

If I encrypt the Samsung S4, can I still move files from the phone to my PC after punching in the password. I am concerned if i still have the ability to move files AND open them on my PC.

I read some forums which seems to imply that once the phone is encrypted, there is no way of getting files in a usable form out of the phone - even after putting in the password.

Would appreciate if anyone had experience with this. I am concerned about encrypting my phone and not being able to backup and use the files on my computer.

Hi there.

Hmm, I didn't even think of this before I encrypted mine last night.

I just tried though and I can access it exactly as I could before, pulling pictures automatically and via My Phone Explorer.
