Legally no, there are programs that will rip DVDs into a format (mp4) that will work on your Droid though.

I have been downloading movies for free of this site strait on to my X and i can use the phone like i normally would as its downloading. I am no affiliated with this site in any way.

What app are you using to play these movies? I've been using RockPlayer and it really isn't that clear. I'm really hoping there's another one I can use that would be similar to my old iPhone.

I just use the gallery app but if that doesn't work you can try to play it threw the download history in the browser.
