There's a new rumor swirling around from insider sources. Supposedly, Motorola is working on a new phablet device that will use the same physical structure of the Nexus 6, but will have improved internals and could be the first 6-inch Droid phablet to hit Verizon. Besides having the same 5.9-inch QHD display as the Nexus 6, it will also come sporting the next-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB of RAM to showcase the 64-bit feature of that CPU. Other specs shared by the leaker indicate a 4,000 mAh battery. According to the leaked intel, the phablet style Droid will supposedly come sometime in the middle of 2015. The leaker did also share that there is a chance it will not end up as a Droid device, but will simply be a non-Nexus branded Motorola alternative. We have not been able to get any third party confirmation of this rumor, but we wanted to share it anyway. This intel seems pretty solid, and the move is not without precedent from Motorola. The Droid Turbo turned out to be an enhanced/evolved version of the 2014 Moto X, so perhaps Motorola and Verizon want to take advantage of the growing phablet craze. We will keep an eye out for any further info on this and share it ASAP! Thanks, anonymous!
