Looks like we may have a little winter weather headed our way here in Eastern NC. Our mountains are going to get a good bit but its going to be interesting to see what makes it to us sitting an hour East of Raleigh, NC. Looks like it might be fun once you get away from the city there @sajokaz the ole jeep loves the snow I can imagine. The 4wd can eat the snow alive on a jeep. My Tahoe says a little different with its added weight it sometimes likes to get mired down if it breaks traction.

Yep...it digs right in and loves to tear through the snow! It was a fun drive to work...nice & steady, 4WD at about 25MPH and laugh at all the 4WD SUV / Pickup owners that were stuck in ditches or spun sideways on the road. So many people don't realize that 4WD will get you going...but driving too fast in the snow is still dangerous and you can still lose traction and spin out of control.

Lol for real though. Majority of drivers think once you lock it in 4wd you should drive like normal and rush to work or home. 4wd doesn't do squat for steering unless you got a heck of a granny gear for 4 low. I carry 2 chains in the back of my Tahoe especially for all the drivers who were rushing and need a pull out of a ditch. Make decent money on I-95 after a good snow. Usually get quite a few pulls in within the first 2 days of snow/ice :)

Down here..there's more and more 4wd vehicles on the road..but someone forgot to tell the morons that highway tires aren't meant for gumbo, mud, and slick tires don't do well on anything ...it never fails..a little rain and these maypop running people wind up in all sorts of wrecks..

I heard that. A lot of people think running nitto's and bf goodwrench all/mud terrains is a bit excessive but those tires coupled with a good set of chains in the back of the truck can get a many unexpecting driver out of trouble and save a tow bill in the process. Got to love a good v8 drivetrain, 4wd, good set of soft semi aggressive tread tires, and a set of good ole chains for pulling

Must admit.... The thought of a summer day not hitting triple digits does sound appealing.
On the other hand..... What's a snow shovel?

Don't know. I use this thing called a Blower. Easy breezy. All about having the right tools for the job. ;)

Found this little micro ecological system in a jar on buried in the dirt and leave on one of NC's federal game lands while squirrel hunting yesterday
