I have a Motorola Droid running Froyo 2.2 that I successfully rooted today with the SuperOneClick method. I had to try about 5 times before it took, ultimately I believe turning off USB debugging then turning it back on did the trick.

Anyhow, following the root, I attempted to perform a nandroid backup by rebooting into Recovery Mode as I had read in multiple tutorials. However, once I reached the Recovery Menu, there was no option for backup. From everything I've read, rooting the Motorola Droid with any method was supposed to install SPRecovery, thereby allowing nandroid backups.

Anybody have any idea why this is not the case in this instance? Or any ideas on how to get the ability to do a nandroid backup.

On a side note, I rooted my Droid 2 and performed a nandroid backup with BootStrapper for Droid 2. Is there an equivelent application for the Motorola Droid?

Any help is appreciated.
