I purchased this dock with the intention of using it as a Bluetooth substitute. The charging cable splits off and has an AUX IN jack. It works fine for streaming audio, but it does not work with calls. Has anyone found a way around this? I would prefer having the audio cable connect down by the charger, as opposed to running a second cable to the top of the phone.

I don't know of a way to control what goes through that audio interface. For me, if it's plugged in then my Navigation sound go through it but since I don't always run the audio from the phone through the radio, such as when listening to news radio, I then don't get Navigation sounds at all, so I have to pull the connector back up off the phone to hear the sounds. There are at least one, possibly two other instances where the dual-purpose cable causes problems with sound but ATM I can't remember what they were.

Hopefully the update to ICS will have a fix knitted in there somewhere from Motorola.
