Why is it that when this is announced everyone panics like it immeadiately means your Droid will drop to 100Mhz and stay there?

The phone still has a long life outside of what VZ deems sellable.

I say "Meh!"

Bring on the 3.0Ghz beast (and it will not be a tablet ... BTW HP not making one, Good! They would f--k it up)

Will this mean no Froyo OTA?

From what I've been reading (no hard facts, just rumor) we SHOULD get an OTA late this month/early next. Of course we might be able to say that next month as well.

I believe the D1 was scheduled for the 2.2.

Verizion has said it as has Moto just not the date........please think and read a bit..The Droid will get 2.2 as well as 3.3 (gingerbread)...

3.3??? I just put 2.2 on my Droid lol....i have to say so far I'm loving Froyo I hope they make the Droid 2 customizable (rootable) like they did with the original.

Would it be worth keeping the Droid if it had 3.3? For me it would depend on if the updates all happened this year because a newer Droid running on 4G really sounds good to me!
