Motorola Droid 2 Global Does 1.2GHz!?

More juicy details continue to leak about a rumored Droid 2 World phone. A quick glance at the system information reveals an ARMv7 Processor clocked at 1.2GHz! If and when this device hits Big Red, it will undoubtedly take the top spot as the fastest Droid. According to Kellex from Droid-Life.com, when an actual Quadrant benchmark was run, the first attempt came up with 1566 and the second hit 1709. dancedroid

In case you have a hard time making out the screen shot, here are a few of the other specs listed.

System: SDK version: 2.2

CPU: ARMv7 rev 2
Current freq: 300mhz
Max freq: 1200 mhz
Min freq: 300 mhz
Cores: 1

Display: 480×854 @ 68Hz

Assuming its running froyo, thats awesome stuff, good to know the 1ghz barrier has Officially been broken in the mobile world

Yeah I'm much more interested in dual cores. Although to take advantage of the two cores, wouldn't apps need to be coded to take advantage of it?

This 1.2Ghz stock is a nice addition to the line-up though, I bet it's smooth and seamless...the colors on the casing are all off IMO nothing a hard case wouldn't fix...but hey I don't design phones, I just tweak with em'

Took the words right out of my mouth. No reason whatsoever to ditch my D1 for any phone without these specs.

Nah, instead of timesharing the CPU, two apps can run.
