Taylor Wimberly, The Google+ leaker, has been on a roll lately with Moto X leaks. His latest is some intriguing new pics of the Moto X and a previously unknown special feature. The feature is called, Moto Magic Glass, which sounds kinda nerdy in a very cool way. Here's the description of it straight from the leaker,

Moto X features something called Moto Magic Glass. This is a single sheet of Gorilla Glass which is molded to a special polymer to make a continuous surface that wraps around the entire front and edges of the device. There is zero gap with the back.

He also mentioned that the new Moto X will include laminated aluminum construction in its design which will make it stronger and lighter. Here's a pic of the internals on the new Moto X:

With the huge array of extra premium features this device will have, it certainly seems like its slightly less powerful CPU is starting to become a non-issue.

If the glass wraps all the way around the device, what happens when you drop it and it lands on the corner on concrete?

It's likely a laminate, so even if it does crack it will likely protect the screen it's self from spiders.

That will depend heavily on the polymer it is molded to. If the polymer can absorb the shock, nothing but maybe a nick in the polymer. If not and it hits the crystalline structure at just the right point then think Visonware episode will more than likely be the result.

So will this make the glass easy to replace if cracked, or will it be bonded to the screen like on the Samsung S3 and S4?

I love this feature. My Palm Pre+ had something similar and it made the phone feel really nice in the hands and while talking on it. It looks smooth too.
