Moto Droid Heating

I notice that, during long periods of operation (e.g. GPS on trips), the Droid gets noticeably warmer. Is this normal?

Also, I used a leather case for a short time, that had a magnetic closure. That seemed to make the Droid warmer also. So I quit using it. Any damage suspected there? All functions of the Droid appear to work fine.

GPS and wi-fi can make it warm over time. Nothing to worry about. The leather case likely activated docking mode (a known issue with pouches with magnets) but nothing to worry about. Unless you see some negative effects (freezing, restarts ect) you should be fine.
