Hello all, I am new to the forum. I have a Motorola Droid that had the 2.1 update1 firmware. I used RSD Lite to flash back to stock 2.0.1 firmware. All is well, and I'm running 2.0.1 firmware now. Also downloaded DMupdater. When I try to run DMupdater, it says 'Update available' 'version 0.1.2 of DM updater is available', and I have to choose install or quit. Pressing install tries to go to update, and ends up just on a black screen, and I end up having to exit the program. Pressing quit, just quits. So, my question is, what is the best way to root my phone and be able to install custom ROM's and the like. I understand the term 'best' is subject to opinion, so any way to get this done would be appreciated. BTW, if DMupdater is not the way, I'll get rid of it and go a different route.

    Thanks in advance guys, Brian
