It looks like the G6 may be a new fan favorite. The G6 was a highlight at Mobile World Congress where it garnered lots of media attention. The device features a new design and some new features like water resistance and wireless charging in the US. It's also the first of the major flagship phones to feature the new 18:9 aspect ratio which allows for some other neat features especially in the camera mode.

LG has just announced that they have received about 10,000 pre-orders for the device in the first 4 days for more than 40,000 pre-order units in total. The pre-order devices will also come with some extras in many markets. South Korean pre-orders get display protection which offers you one free display repair if you accidently damage your display. These orders will also receive an LG case for the device as well as discounts on other accessories. We have not seen official pricing in the US, but in the UK the phone cost $857. LG should sell as many units as they can while they have the head start. As soon as Samsung drops the S8 LG may experience a decent drop off in sales.
