MOG: free or not?

So way back when Facebook started using MOG music service, I registered for the free trial, but decided I didn't want to pay for it so I cancelled. Fast forward to now when the RAZR MAXX comes preloaded with MOG, with the option from a 7 day free trial, or pay for service. At the same time, I've read MOG is now a free service, and I've been getting emails saying the same. One reads:

Our award-winning music service is faster, better than ever, and best of all... Free. Enter music paradise:

15 million songs personal music suggestions and the highest audio quality on the Web."

So is it free or not?

I don't user it but from what i understand it is only freer to listen to online. Then you have the option to pay $5 a month to get rid of the ads. Or pay $10 a month to be able to download music. According to their website, mobile is only good with the $10 subscription.

So you are probably receiving the emails in regards to it being free to listen to on your computer.
