Modifying number in dialer

Is there an app or tasker profile that will allow you to modify a number in dialer before initiating call without backspacing?

I receive pages as SMS text messages which often use a 5 digit extension callback number. If I want to call it from my phone, I need to add 2 digits at the beginning. There is currently no way to do this without just remembering the number. Any ideas?

Smart Caller

I found an app called Smart Caller in the Market. It allows you to set up rules for dialing. It's worked great.
