    Hello, I got bored so I decided to edit the MIUI ROM a bit. It is based off version 1.14. If you are reading this thinking you don't like MIUI, but you like some features than this is the ROM for you. I changed around the launcher a bit for users like me who aren't a fan of not having an app drawer. If you like MIUI's launcher how it is, go to Team D1-MIUI's forums and download the official MIUI ROM. Remember to wipe data before flashing. Here is the link to the edited MIUI ROM:

    No more link. Against MIUI rules. Sorry guys.

    Recommended Kernels (Please flash one of these. Makes the ROM much quicker):

    Liquid Frozen Yogurt: 1.2 GHz (Low Voltage)

    Chevy No 1: 1.0 GHz (Medium Voltage)

    Instructions (modified_miui.zip):
    1. Download the ROM (and kernel)
    2. Put it on the root of your sdcard
    3. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery
    4. Wipe data/user data
    5. Select Install zip from sdcard
    6. Find modified_miui.zip and select it
    7. Wait for install to finish

    Optional (Kernel):
    8. Put the Kernel of your choice on the root of your sdcard
    9. Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery
    10. Select Install zip from sdcard
    11. Find the kernel and select it
    12. Wait for install to finish, then reboot.

    Please comment with questions, or with feedback.

    ALL CREDIT GOES TO TEAM D1-MIUI!!! ALL I DID WAS EDIT A FEW THINGS. THANKS METICKONE AND JAMEZELLE FOR MAKING SUCH A GREAT ROM!

    What's minor? Looks like you added the ADW Launcher from Gingerbread and that's it............ Do you build ROM's at all or just pick them apart and pack them back up and put a link out? I'm not being a dousch at all but I feel like I have seen this before from you with the Bugless ROM where you just added some GB parts... I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it was you.. It's good you are giving credits to the real dev's instead of stepping on toes like last time, Why don't you start building from source? It's not that difficult dude. There is a few "How To's" out that are pretty solid. Best bet sync with CM source and build off of that. You can never go wrong with CM, and it's a good starting point.. In fact that's what I did. Jamezelle was a huuuuugggeeee help to me as well. But really it's not hard, it's fun as ****, and when you actually build something that is your own **** it feels good knowing it's yours and not someone elses.. I used to do the same **** but I never put it out for someone else to use. I just didn't feel like it was right to step on toes like that.. I'm down to help you out to bro.. I see your intentions and they are good.. Holla!

    I actually am learning Java Programming language, but I have tried to build ROM's from source and haven't been too successful with it. My Ubuntu doesn't work too well for stuff like that.

    Is this a full rom or an update.zip. full Tom aren't allowed but an update.zip that needs applied over the official rom is allowed. Read the stickies in the MIUI section.

    lol you did this exact same thing and said it was a rom from gingerbread, you seriously think replacing a system app=making a rom?

    i'm sorry but moving an apk into a different folder doesn't qualify you as having made a rom.

    do your parents even know you're up?

    I don't see the need for the elitest attitudes. This guy is just putting form to function. We all like different things from different ROMs and what I see here is someone combining some good attributes from different places. He gave credit to source, and is obviously open to criticism so id ease up on the witch hunt and maybe act more like community members. Maybe lend a helping hand or two. Just my take on it.

    I........I........I'm down with this. I like your enthusiasm. Android is free. Feel free to do what you do with MIUI, thanks for putting my name in the 1st post but, well I just ported it to the droid. I am not the originator/developer of miui just spreading it to other devices because I like it.

    Keep on keeping on....

    However, what we have said is to make mods to the original rom (aka 1.1.14.x) and post mods only because if you post full roms and people start posting issues for the droid port that are not caused by my release I tend to get a bit ticked looking for issues I didn't cause.

    Again, android is as free to do with as you want as is water is. So do what you wish i just recommend(do it please) that you dont post full roms ports based off of mine, but rather post your modifications(all in a flashable zip format) in the team-d1-miui section here.

    @bendystrawboy really?....he is learning!

    @Adrozz07 I agree 100%!

    Wow - that has to be one of the most classiest responses I have ever seen from a ROM dev - even if you did just port it over to the D1.

    I've looked into MIUI and at first I found it too .. cheesy. Now, however, as I have seen some of the features in it that are nowhere else, I find myself more and more wanting to at least try it before dismissing it as 'cheesy' as I previously did.

    Jamezelle, your response above makes me want to try it more - that kind of class is not always prevalent in the dev world.

    Kudos!

    I totally agree, I reserve my self to respond to the negativity some members so viciously bring into this forums and spread it even further.. I appreciate Jamez for your fine add to this thread.
