Where are you from? I had Cellular One when I got my first cell phone, alllll the way back in 1998, but I didn't think they were still around. I'm from Western Pennsylvania.

I'm not sure where your problem would be coming from, but it could be that the Droid (A855) and your Milestone A854 might be just different enough that it's creating problems. Or, it could be something in the Droid MMS app that BB is based on is Verizon-specific...I'm not really an expert, but I wanted to give you a couple of possibilities instead of just trying to extract information. You might give Handcent a try and see if that gets through until someone smarter than me comes up with a fix.

Try a market based alternative. See if that works

If you prefer the stock MMS.apk (like me), hopefully you made a backup image. Find that image and extract the mms.apk from system/apps. Then swap out the mms.apk
Please see these directions Download: New MMS.apk With Custom Settings - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog
If permissions are not reset will result in FC

If that fails, then it maybe in the framework or baseband for your local carrier??? Maybe,... anyways goodluck. I know quiet a few people use Milestones and most seem okay using Pete's ROMs.

Im from North east PA i have an old Lg Script that has all the settings on it, is there a way i can get into that and steal the apn settings? cause i think thats the problem, I think my phone knows to retrieve from all APN's but doesnt know which one to use to send MMS. i can send SMS though.

I had the same problem cause I am from Alaska and my carrier is acs. Fortunately there was a patch that changed my apn back to acses now I can send mms. Its cause your phone has a Verizon apn.

I wish I could help more. I had a Guy from Alaska chime in on one of my threads about my problem in the Sourcery part of the forum and he hooked me up with a zip and instructions. I am sure it is out in the Google world just got to find it

I googled Android Cellular One APN settings, and this was on one of the pages...not sure how to add it into your phone, but at least you'll have the information you need:

    Provider Name Cellular One
    Provider APN cellular1wap
    WAP Gateway http://172.23.1.252:8080
    MMSC Homepage
