This is to fix the black text of the Facebook widget in UD10 since I couldn't get the old Facebook.apk to install. I didnt know what determined the text color sooo... I just tossed all the contents of the old Facebook.apk into a MM theme. If anyone knows what file controls that text color please let me know so I can make the MM file smaller.

Since it has all the contents of the old apk it is kinda big and will take a bit longer than normal to unpack and push. Sorry about that...

    Cheers :blackdroid:

    Download metamorph from the market.

Download the file I attached and put it in the androidthemes folder on your SD card.

    Open MM

    Press "start checks"
It will prompt you to allow access.

    Pick theme

    Select the facebookfix.zip

    Then click facebook.apk

The phone will now reboot and you should be a happy camper.

It just makes the widget smoked so it flows with a smoked glass theme. The text on the UD10 widget was black so it was hard to read. This makes the text white.

First thank you for the reply. Now to answer your question. I am not sure.. how would I check?

Basicly as in much detail as I can give of what I did. I download from the link above. Moved it to my androidthemes folder. Opened MM did checks... pick theme.. it extracted it. Took a few min to do it like wasn't posted. Choose the apk and applied it. MM appeared to be doing it. But there was no prompt to reboot.

Things I've tried is to delete and redownload and try again. And I even tried to manually unzip then put it in my android themes folder. All ended with no changes to the widget. And no prompt to reboot. I am running UD10. The new updated one. I did not add the nextheme update with it. And I am running the free version of MM.

I was able to use MM to change the notification panel so it did not have that grey in it. And Pandora themed fine with a update.zip. I hope this help you help me.

    Thanks
    Mojo

Hmm I'm sorry I dont really have a diagnosis. I think I just read the other day which file actually contains the code which determines the font color. I will find it again and create a MM theme with just that file and see if it is an easier fix.

Here you go. Here is a new theme that only contains the .xml files that are needed to change txt color on the widget. Try this out and let me know if it works.

The new facebook update changed the widget_view.xml. This is why that mm won't work. I played around with it for a couple minutes but couldn't figure it out.

Same... I tinkered with it last night... I could get anything to work. I am just sticking with my current Facebook until someone can figure out how to theme 1.2's widget.
