I decided to move to a new thread to make things simpler :)

    Description:

This MetaMorph theme can change the color of the min speed / max speed text, numbers, temp and title on your setCPU widget. I can do custom colors but I will need a color sample or a hex code for the color. I can also do a mixture of colors (numbers one color and min/max another)

I also will have a theme that will make the "SetCPU" title of the widget invisible - as some people prefer to have the title gone. (Still in progress)

*Please note - If you wish to have a custom theme (title gone, numbers one color, text another color) you need to let me know so I can make it. The attributes that control color and transparency are all in one .xml file so any changes need to be applied all at once. Trying to apply color and then remove the title will overwrite the previous change.

Credit to gotta have that funk for getting me started by posting his own theme that makes the background of the widget completely clear. His thread can be found here: [MORPH] Clear SetCPU widget

*Note - If you wish to use my color-change theme and then want the clear background theme from gotta have that funk's theme - you will need to download his theme here. I've modified it work with my theme since I've named my .apk Setcpu.apk and his theme only works with setcpu.apk.

Credit for the clear background still goes to gotta have that funk though :)

    Requirements:

    1. Please be sure you have the latest version of SetCPU (1.5.1) Go to Market > Menu > Downloads and see if you have an update available for SetCPU.
    2. The .apk for SetCPU (which is named by default to com.mhuang.overclocking.apk) must be renamed to Setcpu.apk
    3. The renamed .apk must be moved from /data/app/ to /system/app/

    Instructions:

    1. Download the .zip file with the color of your choice
    2. Place the .zip file on your sdcard in a folder called "AndroidThemes" (no quotes)
    3. Open MetaMorph and choose "Pick Theme"
    4. Choose the .zip file for Setcpu and allow MetaMorph to extract the file
    5. Select the Setcpu.apk subtheme (the only one listed)
    6. Select "Apply It!"
    7. Once MetaMorph finishes, exit and reboot the phone.
    8. Reload your widget and now you should have a SetCPU widget with a custom color.

    Troubleshooting:

If you are having problems with the theme not loading please check the following:

    • Be sure the .apk has been renamed to Setcpu.apk NOT setcpu.apk - The capital letter is important.
    • Be sure that the correctly named .apk is in /system/app AND be sure there is no other .apk for SetCPU still in the /data/app/ directory.
    • If you are getting an error when trying to unzip or use the MetaMorph theme be sure you are placing the UNEXTRACTED zip file into /sdcard/AndroidThemes/ - MetaMorph will extract the zip for you.
    • Be sure you have the latest vesion of SetCPU.
    • If you've tried the above and are still having problems please follow this post's instructions

@an I request two? Should be pretty simple as the colors are as generic as they come. One with all black letters and one with all white letters. I don't mind the title in it so don't worry about taking it out. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: hex codes are #f8f8ff and #000000.

one more request..is there anyway you can get it to theme to setcpu.apk rather than Setcpu.apk? I'd like to use the colors and the clear setcpu theme at the same time.

Any chance you can combine your work with Gotta Have That Funk. I love the color but I also love having the transparent background.... I'm so demanding :) If not, no worries. Having everything blue at this point is my main goal :icon_ banana:

you can use both themes as long as both themes apply to the same apk..at least i think so. If that is the case then only problem is the clear widget themes to setcpu.apk and this one themes to Setcpu.apk.

Yep. The tranparent one is all lower case. Is there an easy way to tweak one of these that I can do, or it will it require some actual recoding?

I've changed gotta have that funk's clear MM theme to work on Setcpu.apk

You can also simply rename the .apk using a root explorer like SUFile Manager so that gotta have that funk's original clear theme will work. I guess I just made my theme with the capital S since all the other .apk files in /system/app/ have the first letter capitalized :p

    Slider,

Could I make a request for the SetCPU to be in all red and all blue? I love the color, just want it to be all the same, not a white title. Oh...and can they have a clear background as well so that it's just the text sitting on the screen?

If ya can do this...thank you so much! :icon_ banana:

Redbull, he posted a download link for the transparent setcpu. Install that and then the setcpu font color theme after it and you'll have the transparent look and the font colors.

I'm off to the second job so I won't be back on until tomorrow morning.
