I wasnt a fan of the new grey notification boxes when the notification bar was pulled down. I tossed together a MM theme to bring back the old smoked ones from previous UD releases and figured some others might want it as well.

    Cheers :blackdroid:

RE-ZIP'D THE FILE... HOPEFULLY IT CURES THE ISSUES

    Download metamorph from the market.

Download the file I attached and put it in the androidthemes folder on your SD card.

    Open MM

    Press "start checks"
It will prompt you to allow access.

    Pick theme

    Select the notificationmod.zip

    Then click framework-res.apk

The phone will now reboot and you should be a happy camper. :icon_eek:

Did everything above and got error message saying the theme was invalid because the theme control file could not be found or is missing. Never got to the part where it asked me to to select "framework-res.apk."Suggestions?

Hmm.. I've never actually ran into that issue. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

That is the same thing happening to me, this is my first time using MM. Is there another file that is supposed to be in the Theme folder, there is one that says "no media".

Hmm... everything is there that needs to be. There is a folder with framework and a .thm file that tells MM where to push the files. I am still hoping someone that has had this issue before can chime in with some insight.

I tried it and got the error too with the zip method. But the way around this issue is to unzip it manually.

Unzip the files into a folder, then put that folder in your /sdcard/AndroidThemes/ directory. Open MM, click on existing themes and click on the folder you just plopped in there. Click on the notificationmod.thm file, then apply all will work from there.

I am not running UD10 or a Cyanogen based ROM right now to see if that method works.

As to why, I am not sure. The naming seems right, the theme file seems ok, it is at the root of the .zip file. Maybe it is because there is some compression in the .zip, the .zip isn't set to store. But it is only 2% compression, I have no idea really. Probably something simple we are missing though lol.

I will redo the zip on my lunch break and replace the current one. Hopefully that fixes the issue.:)

I downloaded it again this morning using Xscope and then opened the file using Xscope....then used MM and all works fine now.
    Thanks for the help guys.
EDIT: Forgot to add that I moved the file from XScope to Themes.

Unzip on your PC create a folder name it Smoked notifications.
Mount your driod and work your way to SDCard | AndriodThemes and copy it in.

Go to MM and choose exiting theme (right side option).
Then follow the above instructions from there, "then click framework-res.apk

the phone will now reboot" and you should be good

    Got it working, thanks alot.

A small gripe: I wish the theme hadn't changed my wallpaper, but it was an easy fix :)

I kinda agree. Where is the non-live version of the UD wallpaper? I actually liked that one. The live one is OK, but not worth the CPU and battery drain to watch some streaking red and white streamers.

BTW, it worked for me using MM with no issues whatsoever. But, I have had very few issues with UD10 compared with others.

    Thanks everyone!!!!

I still can't get this blasted thing to run. Unzipped the file, placed the unzipped folder in SD|Android Themes, opened MM, selected "framework-res." and nothing. I did notice though that mine doesn't have the apk extension at the end of it. Could this be why it won't run? If so, is there something I need to do to change the extension from zip to apk?
