Besides chrometophone what else is giving you problems? What rom where you running before? Did you wipe data and cache? Did you use something to restore data and or apps? My recommendation is to wipe data and cache and start over.

metiCk, I'm really pumped for the official release of this mod!!! I'm trying out the betas cuz I don't have the time anymore to spend hours playing with my phone now that school started... I'm still running your second FRG22D ROM lol

I'm looking forward to this one big time!!!!

Nothing else really, it's a pretty clean rom. I came from a rooted stock FRG22D, did a data and cache wipe prior to installing and on 2 subsequent reinstalls trying to get it to work. I reverted back to the stock FRG22D with root, I'm a minimalist and only root so I can delete unused bloat, no themes or overclocking here. I am now able to update chrome to phone but for some silly reason it still doesn't work, I'm wondering if android2cloud may have something to do with it, I'll experiment when I have more time.

edit: google automatically restored my apps and I use titanium to restore data on selected apps.

    Thanks

Re-do everything but when you restart your phone skip the activation screen and do not restore your apps and data with titanium. That's probably the culprit. When starting with a new base especially with FROYO you should manually reinstall apps using astro or something. You can back up all your apps using it as well. Hope that helps you out.

I didn't include a recovery so whatever recovery you were using before will be what you get.

    Root Explorer:

Navigate to system/app, hit menu key, multi select check filemanager.apk and rommanager.apk and delete. Or one at a time by long pressing the apk you want to delete.

    ADB:

cd c:/location of your SDK/Tools folder (EX: cd c:/android/tools)

    adb shell

    su

    mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system

    rm -r /system/app/FileManager.apk

    rm -r /system/app/RomManager.apk

    mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system

    Sync

    Reboot

-- Those are the commands I would use, but my phone is broken so I can't test it first. I dont see why you would have any issues with the commands though. FYI, get Root Explorer if you dont already have it. It makes simple mods like this way easier.

It's clocked at 600mhz and can be over clocked to 800mhz. P3Droid and Chevy's kernels work and are linked in the OP. There may be others. The kernel dev will let you know if they will work or not with your build in their post. If they are FRG22D compatible then you can use them with this build.

metiCkOne - This ROM rocks! I flashed it last night, and so far have had no issues. Smooth, stable and looks great! The stock kernel was good, but I flashed a P3Droid SV 125-1250 because I can't leave well enough alone. Haven't had a chance to check audio yet, but here's hoping.

Thanks for all your hard work! dancedroid
