Based off the FRG22D OTA Android 2.2 Froyo
Thread Updated (12-05-10) Rom Updated (12-05-10)

The idea behind my roms is to add functionality without sacrificing stability. They are as clean as possible.

    ROMS
    metiCkMod-FRG22D-v3.0.zip

    Blackbar Theme:
    Blackbar-metiCkMod-FRG22D.zip

    - Removed CarHome (Download from Market)

    Changelog

    V3.0 - Coming Soon...
This will most likely be the final release for my FRG22D rom and will have the same aspects of my FRG83 rom. I am only updating this because FRG83 is not an official rom yet.

    V2.2
    - updated more gapps

    - replaced Wired Tether 1.4 with Wired Tether 1.2 (1.4 was FC city)

    V2.1

    - updated more gapps

    - updated Wired Tether to 1.4
    - re-added the carhome launcher (Download Carhome from Market)

    V.2.0

    - Re-Optimized all apps!

    - ADBD runs as root!!!! [no need to type adb root to adb remount] (Everyone thank actngrezy for that one)

    - Added a custom set of ringtones and notifications from multiple sources

    - Changed the default notifications to custom one’s (wipe data/cache to see what I mean)

    - Optimized all ogg's

    - Added transparency patch to framework (for themers)

    - Removed the stagefright tweak as Pandora and others have fix their audio streaming (so they say)

    - Updated most core apps [Gmail, Soundback, Talkback, Kickback, Voice Search, GoogleQuickSearch] (rest in the next release)

    - Re-added original DROID boot animation

    - Replaced MMS app [former didn’t show led color options]

    - Replaced Music app with a less buggy one (former couldn’t read my sd)

    - Removed customer Launcher wallpapers

    - Removed File manager (Download astro or Root Explorer)

    - Removed Facebook (Download from Market)

    - Removed Carhome

Recommendations: Don't use any root app to restore data, unless you're coming from a previous version of metiCkMod or FRG22D. If you really want to restore your apps with Titanium or something like it you can do so without restoring the data that comes with the app.

    KERNELS

ChevyNo1 Froyo Kernels (Recommended) – Chevy’s a great dev Check out his thread!

P3droid Kernels (Be careful which kernel you choose as there are some for 2.1 and 2.2)

    Recommended apps

SetCPU (Available on market or XDA)

    HTC_IME (awesome keyboards)

    Red Sox HTC_IME Keyboard

    Yankees HTC_IME Keyboard

Clockworkmod Instructions: Place file anywhere on your sdcard, boot into recovery, select install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard, and select the appropriate zip file.

SPRecovery Instructions: Rename file to update.zip, place on the root of your sdcard (meaning not in a folder on your sdcard), boot into recovery - install - Allow update.zip Installation - Install /sdcard/update.zip (deprecated)

Wipe or not? It is my recommendation that everyone wipes data & cache no matter what build they are coming from. Also, you should only use titanium to re-install apps without the data. It kinda sucks to re-enter all your info, accounts and bookmarks (especially with all these leaks) but in the end, if you run into problems you won't wonder if it’s because you didn't wipe data/cache.

Have you run "GPS Test" to find out how many satellites GPS can see when the problem occurs? It can be downloaded from the market.

Wow. Quadrant test IS awful! Any ideas? Or should I switch back to your previous FRG22d that works great? Otherwise, very good.

Quadrant lag seems to be in "video decoding"...sticks there in the test.

I think I posted it in the OP but if I didn't I appologize and will do so after say this. Because of the audio streaming hack I implemented quadrant scores will be way off. I believe linpack works fine though. Sorry about the confusion guys.

Hi, metiCkOne, your ROM works wonderfully. Thank you very much. I do have a questions though. The filemanager included in the ROM. Is there any way to change the default setting on it, like reduce the font size, change the default sort, etc. ? Can't find any info on it from Application, or web. Will there be any update for it?

    thanks,
