I have been running the new LGB rom from liquid and it is fantastic but it seems that metamorph does not like it to well. I can use metamorph to change my verizon banner and my battery icon but when I try to change my pulldown shade it will not change it. Does anybody know of a similar type of app that I can use to change it that works with the new gingerbread roms?

The new gb roms have a SystemUI.apk that most of the stuff like that are in.. batt is in framework so it'll apply but 3g, signal, wifi, etc aren't.. and they're named diff too... the pulldown is a hassle sometimes to get to apply.... it needs to be name correctly and in the right directory... but once that's done, mm is great

How does one go about "naming it correctly" and "putting it in the right place"

Well, to he honest with ya, on liquids gb rom I know there have been issues with the pulldown.... you would need to rearrange the folder set up and the control file.... but if the issue with getting a new custom status_bar_background.9.png to apply then its prob pointless.... but I haven't messed with that rom to know....

I do not want to change the status_bar_background_9.png which appears to be the status bar at the top of the screen, I want to change status_bar_background.png. I did find it and it is in the same location as froyo builds and should change when I use metamorph but it does not change for me on my D1. Tried ninjamorph as well and no luck. Even pulled the complete rar file apart, found the file and inserted my png file, re ziped it and flashed it and still no change. Kind of a bummer for me cause I would change my pulldown with the different sports seasons or whenever I felt like a change. Ill keep trying. If anyone has ideas, please let me know.

Statusbar_background.9.png is the top bar.... status_bar_background (both png and.9.png) are in framework and systemUI.apk....

I can only find status_bar_background.png in framework. .9.png is in both framework and systemUI. Am I missing it?

Its a normal png in framework .... but its a .9.png in SYSTEMUI.apk..... and I have had issues getting it to apply on UD 3.0 so I don't have a definitive answer....

Here is a working MM file for changing the background of the notification bar. Tested on build 28 of cm7. I looked at the liquid rom and based on the files this should work just as well on that. You will have to reboot after application. The current png in there is the default one from cm.

OK. Had to wait till I got home to use my pc. Here is what I did. Unziped the file and placed file (shade) in android themes folder. Opened metamorph and selected pick existing theme. Selected shade from the list. Then selected the shade folder again, then selected the Shade.xml file. It goes through its process, I click close then apply all and it goes through its thing and get the following:
"The application Status Bar (process com.android.systemui) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Then the endless force close loop.
I am no noob when it comes to using metamorph but what am i missing?

Yep. That's how mine worked too. FC loop is normal. That's why you have to reboot afterwards. Reboot should fix the FC.

Are you using the latest version of MM? (I'm going to flash LGB right now and test it)
