Media volume glitch

Ever since it ICS update I've been having a lot of problems with the media volume working.
I've seen other people having the same issue but they're all temporary fixes.
is there a permanent fix to this problem? Is Motorola aware of this problem?
my hope is that this will be resolved soon.
