Media player question

I'm using the standard media player that comes with the droid x. I still can't get the phone to link to my laptop with media share so I've tried using double twist and v-cast media manager for downloading albums. My problem is that with both programs the songs are stored alphabetically rather than in track order. Any ideas on how to correct this?

You can a couple of things...

1) Instead of moving single songs over into 1 large "music" folder, instead move full albums..then the tracks in the album will play in track order.

2) Dedicate a folder on your PC for the songs you want to move to your phone...copy the tunes to that folder...use an mp3 Tag editor to edit the track numbers of those files and number them accordingly...long drawn out process, but it does work. I have done this with 4 large "genre" folders on my phone.

As far as moving files over, I just drag & drop straight from my PC to the SD card via USB...no muss no fuss...
