Quick question, for those of you who have music and movies on your phones, what directory structure did you use on the card?

Thanks in advance!

Since receiving no answers, can I assume that everyone is just placing them at the root of the SD card?

lol, I never thought about the directory structure. I'm sure many others have. I just know that if I want music I press this button, if I want pictures, they are over here.

I would love to know what structure people use...I have a "music" directory but for some reason my saved ringtones show up in my music playlist...what a pain...

Ya I think it is the engineer in me, lol.

Was note sure if people had it broken down anyway...for example:

Media
.Audio
.Videos
.Pictures

Or something like that.

It doesn't matter where you put the files. There is no inherent File Directory Structure that I am aware of.

The phone just scans the SD card and map the files to the categories.

I tend to keep my own files organized, but alot of maps just dump them in their own naming/directory schemes - very annoying.

Ya I am with you...I like to keep things organized.

If I remember correctly, ringtones needed a specific structure though.

Create a directory on your card called 'media' inside that create another called 'audio' then inside there, create one called 'ringtones'

Your ringtones will not show in your playlist.

You ROCK! :)
In addition, if you have certain tones for notifications and alarms, you can create folders for those as well, just create them under the 'audio' directory. :) So one directory called 'alarms' and another called 'notifications'
