EDIT: I have successfully rooted. The problem was on my end. I attempted rooting a second time, and instead of referencing the video, I just simply read from the razor_blade utility. As it turns out, I did not have USB Debugging turned on.

I'm in MTL mode, then ran the run.bat, then got the messages daemon not running. starting it now. followed by: daemon started successfully.
Any help?
