Tried to update from 4.96, massive force closes and many apps not working.

Decided to Wipe 3 times and fresh install with chevyno1 tools "Restore Everything" from 4.96...

Restore All does not restore Google Voice or any accounts (google and exchange not restored)
Home hard-key does not function at all now.
    Keep getting an android.system FC
Lock-Screen pattern will not stick (I have tried to disable and re-enable) It never comes up when my phone is locked or rebooted.

Any ideas? am I alone with these problems?

Did you do a Nandroid backup before the initial attempt at the upgrade from 4.96 (I hope so)? Try restoring to that point and then try the upgrade again to see if you have better luck. Something might have hiccuped the first try.

I had no issues from a clean install and manual setup. People are having problems seem to always post that they are restoring apps with tibu or restore apps.

Just manually install your apps one by one. Gvoice not working with gb is a known issue. Its hard to determine a problem when folks restore data to apps etc from a previous rom

I did do a nandroid backup and I just restored it after wiping again...

What I find really weird is that after restoring that complete 4.96 backup, it booted and started redownloading all of my corporate email (Like it was first setup) and it re-downloaded Google Voice even though it was already installed and working before the upgrade.

Why does it seem like some things stick even after restoring a backup?

Idk that is weird. Did u format boot and format system in recovery

U only need to wipe once

try this and see if it gets rid of any remnants. In recovery (assuming its clockworkmod)

    1. wipe data/factory reset
    2. wipe cache partition
    3. in partitions menu format /system and format /boot
    4. restore your nandroid.
