If you’ve been on the fence about committing to a 4G device, the decision may have just been made for you.

Definitely drop by your local Verizon store to see them in person before placing your order.

Wait, does that mean brand new Verizon customers only? My contract is up and i'm running monthly right now, and if this is true i'd sign up for two years for a free 4G phone.

But I've been trying to resist upgrading from my D1 until the Bionic or GS2 comes out! This is tough.

What is the differrnce from upgrade and new contract? I have a family line and two lines are ready for new phones. Is that an upgrade or what. Would the main line have to be done with their 2yrs.

New contract means you're not a customer yet. If you're replacing an older phone it's an upgrade.

Yea that would be an upgrade.. they give better discounts for brand new contracts. Im in the same situation, Im in a family plan and im eligible, but we wont get the free deal.. I know that blows, else Id do it. But my D1 broke 2 weeks ago, so asurion sent me a brand new Droid 2 Global.. But im still itching for a new phone!

Well that sucks because my Droid X has a black circle and lines at the bottom of screen and I took it in and they said it was physical damage; but I woke up to all this black spots on my screen.

Wow, I was going to order a new family contract (we're coming from AT/T) from Amazon tonight with several of the listed phones - guess we'll wait until Monday! It will save us several hundred $$$. Hopefully there isn't some other catch, like Monday is the day Verizon switches to tiered data plans or something.

Have you owned one? Or are you just going by what you're reading in the Forum?

If you haven't own one then really you shouldn't knock it. I hear from many people that it is a good phone.

However, my wife has been getting emails for early upgrade. I'm wondering if she can swing a Charge out of this deal.
