Picked my D4 on release day and everything has been good, but the last few days my in call volume is horrible. I can hardly hear who I'm talking to, but they can hear me fine. I tried a factory reset but still poor sound on phone calls. The speaker doesn't sound blown, just low volume. Any ideas?

Volume+ app can increase in call volume but requires root.

It just started. So I'm not sure if i should bring it back and get another one or not. I'm still within my 30 day return through best buy.

There may be an issue with the earpiece. Mine is blown after 3 weeks and less than 50 calls.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. At first, the in-call volume was AMAZING, but after having the phone for 2 weeks, when I had someone on speakerphone during a call, they were really quiet. Music is pretty loud though, so its not that the speaker is blown or anything...

My volume is low when it's on speaker. I can hear the person just fine via regular means. I rely on the speakerphone portion of it quite a bit so it's disappointing that you can hardly hear the person. My husband & I have to hold the phone between us and be very quiet in order to hear. Shouldn't be that way. :frown:

I have two Droid Razr Maxx with the low incall volume issue. Verizon said I can return them, but will charge me restocking fees. :-(

If I disable voice privacy, the incall volume seems a bit better but not by much.
