Louder Volume?

My only issue so far with thus wonderful phone aside from battery life (that's a given =P) is that it just isn't loud enough... anyone know of an app or mod I can use to boost my volume? Alarm isn't waking me up for work and I never hear it in my pocket =(

Try this app, but go up in settings one step from normal at a time, test, then repeat. If your speaker starts to sound strained, go back down a notch.

Only problem with that APP is that you have to be running Gingerbread for it to work.

Very true. However, it tells me that it is a software issue not a hardware issue. I'm no dev, but there should be a way to do this in froyo, if a dev was willing to try. I'm hoping and betting that HTC adressed this in the OTA GB update pending VZW approval and bloat. If I find a solution in froyo I'll post back here.
