Well first I should say that Im brand new to the world of the Droid (hours).
I have been a BB user for years lastly a Storm owner, I also owned a iPhone 2g, and 3g...

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a few apps that I feel lost without?

I had a app called Profiles which allowed me to set audio profiles for pre-scheduled days, hours.
I normally go to church on Sunday from 1030 to 1230.
My phone would automatically switch to silent when at church, and so on.

Is there a app that can do that on a Droid?

Another app that I feel lost without is a little app called PhoneLog...
This app would forward my SMS/MMS/Calls incoming as well as outgoing to my calender.
It also had a option to detail the phone logs with the #, times, ect.

Thanks

There is a similar app for the profile switching but I cant recall the name. Im pretty sure I read somewhere that an app is available that you can program to use different profiles which are determined by your GPS location. So you could set your churches location and it would silent the phone while in that location etc.

It's nice that it does it by time too, since having GPS on constantly drains your battery pretty quickly.

btw, you can search the market by keywords like "profile", "log", etc.

Thanks I tried for PhoneLog but did not find a app as described above.

But thanks for your replies.

I am also looking for a good app that can offer me radio stations.
I used to use a app called: Nobex Radio Companion

It let me choose FM as well as AM radio stations in the US.

I noticed country specific apps but not one that offered AM/FM stations.

Thanks

You may want to try Pandora. You can make your own radio stations. If you are looking for news or talk, try a podcast application and have it automatically pull down NPR, CNN, or other news programs.
