Lost service?

So I was on my phone today talking to my dad and all of the sudden he couldn't hear me. I ended up having to hang up because he couldn't hear me and as soon as I did that i had no service.
I then reset my phone to see if that would help and no luck. Next I tried turning airplane mode on and off, no luck. I then toggled all the different networks on and off. I tried walking outside and all around my house. I then checked my brothers phone (Verizon as well, not a smart phone) and he had full coverage.

Any ideas?

Pull the battery and see what happens.

Factory reset could be in order too, as much of a pain that is.

I have pulled the battery as well, forgot to post that. How do you factory reset a droid X? I've never actually had to do that.

go into settings > Privacy > then Factory data reset.

in a wierd turn of events everyone in my family now has no service so I guess I'll wait and see what happens.

Oh no, I'm sure the bill was paid. We all have service again now, just two hours of downtime for some reason! Weird...

So an update from a friend on facebook.

wow my phone service was down for two hours cause someone ran their car into the cell phone tower... Epic Fail.

Well, that would explain it!
