    Is there a sbf.file to go to 2.1 instead of going all the way back to 2.0.1 the manually update to 2.1 then 2.2 .......?

    Thanks

    No we have no 2.1 sbf's. What are you trying to do ultimately? There might be another option.

    There's a 2.1 SBF here:

    Peter Alfonso

    But there's no guarantee it'll work/take and you might have to flash the 2.0.1 back on anyway. If you're going to root or update to 2.2 via the OTA push there's NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER as to your starting point. In fact, many phones have had their bootloader updated under 2.2 to a new version that attempts to block custom recovery images from being installed.

    I'd boot into recovery, make a backup, then wipe system/data caches and reboot, see if my phone ran better. Next up, I'd try restoring a pre-FRG22D backup, and after that I'd try a custom ROM, complete with wipes, to see if that finally fixed the issue. After that, I'd assuming something really big was wrong with my phone and flash in a 2.0.1 or 2.1 SBF, followed by an immediate installation of SPRecovery from this thread;

    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/rescue-squad-guides/74028-root-droid-1-regardless-os-version.html

    And then I'd go to town with my custom ROM.

    But that's me. I haven't been running a stock/leaked build since CM6 RC-1 first hit, and I was rocking FRF57 the day after it leaked. Once CM6 RC-1 hit I flashed over and never looked back.

    So FGR22D tries to block custom roms ? i did nt read that anywhere that is weird i tried it out FGR22D and to me it ran slow so i re flashed Pete's FGR22 and then i get the FC freezing and that damn update that pushes through every two days or so i need to try a good source ROM that has good speed and is FGR22 based so my adobe flash can work good and my wifi tether ......
